Broadway High School, founded in 2005, is a privately owned mixed day and boarding secondary school catering to both "O" and "A" levels. It began with a humble beginning, with just a single student in its initial days. However, as word spread about the school's commitment to excellence, the student population gradually increased. By the end of the first academic year, the school proudly boasted a thriving community of 99 students.
In its early stages, the school commenced with a single permanent building that served as classrooms, dormitories for boys and girls, as well as school offices.
In 2006, the school received official licensing from the Ministry of Education and Sports, allowing it to provide educational services at the secondary level.
In 2007, the school was officially registered by the Ministry of Education and Sports with Registration Number PSS/B/209. This registration solidified the school's status as an accredited educational institution.
In the same year, 2007, the school received authorization from UNEB (Uganda National Examinations Board) to conduct national examinations at both "O" and "A" levels, and it was assigned a UNEB Centre Number: U2140. By this time, the student population had grown significantly, reaching a total of 250 students.
In 2007, recognizing the growing number of students, the school constructed another permanent building to accommodate the increasing demand and provide ample space for all students.
In 2008, the school further expanded its facilities by constructing a permanent girl's dormitory, ensuring a comfortable and secure living space for female students.
In 2009, the school continued its expansion efforts by constructing another permanent building in the form of a flat. This new structure was completed and now houses various essential facilities, including classrooms, a computer laboratory, a sickbay, a skills lab, a library, and administrative offices. This development has significantly enhanced the learning environment and the overall educational experience for the students.
The school has consistently excelled in academics, with many students achieving remarkable results in the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations. These outstanding performances have paved the way for our students to pursue diverse and successful career paths, showcasing the quality of education and preparation they receive at our school.
